Dear Witches, Wizards and Muggles,
Here are guidelines about activity on this forum. 1) Right after you register, you are added into a group called Unsorted. Now you can apply to become: student, professor, other staff of Hogwarts, ghost, adult in general, adult living in Hogsmead, or London or elsewhere. As adult you can own a shop or be Death Eater or you can just make a living other way. It is on you. For student applications we have a special forum Sorting Hat. For other applications we have a forum Applications. See pinned topics for more information. 1.1) If you are already a member and you will register under another username, yet you won’t be fulfilling the requirements to have another character, you will be entered under group called Considering. 2) If you won’t apply right away, we will send you an e-mail, where we also offer basic information about how-to and also for you it is a way to ask questions, if you are unsure about something. Have questions? Ask! Don’t know how to orientate around forumer type of forums, ask! Staff members are here to help you. If you will join using one name e.g. harrypotterfan564, and you won’t apply right away, you will be also asked to change your nickname into name of character. You will obtain e-mail where we will ask you for the name change. 2.1) If we won’t gain any reply from you within 20 days and you won’t apply in any application, your account will be removed. We are sorry. You can re-register any time you wish to. If you joined as canon character, and you won't apply in 10 days, your account will be deleted as well. 3) Once you are sorted and all is all right, you can start reading, meeting members, posting, asking, complaining… anything. Please stay active as much as possible. Save the admin e-mail in case you would need it. Our e-mail is: (IMG:http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y223/Gwathiell/Hogwarts/Skin/e_mail.jpg). Write us even if you forgot the url (link) to this forum. Or when you won’t be available to be around. Or when you are fed up with this forum, and you wish to leave – in this case, we will remove (delete) your account. You can re-register any time back. 3.1) If you will be inactive for over 3 months, your character will be put into a Quarantine group and you will obtain a reminder e-mail from us. 3.1.1) If you will come here and wish to continue to role-play at our forum, feel free to post in the Quarantine forum and we will put you back into the game. If you post you no longer wish to be member (you can just post something random as well) we will consider that as agreement to be removed from our forum. 3.1.1.1) Mind, that when you get deleted, you will loose all the information (PM’s from members, signature and avatars, contact on other members and other general features). Make sure, if you don’t want to loose these information and you wish to stay a member, to let us know when you are leaving for longer time. We have a special forum Swing Out for this situations. Come and post there. Here are some general guidelines about how we deal with inactivity on Souls of the Past forum. 3.1.1) Posting a half-decent post (one - two) in the first period of 6 months is as well considered as inactivity. We ask to post at least 5 sentences. This forum is for fun, and to have fun, so respect other members and either put more effort in it or not. We don't expect you to be expert in on-line RP, but try to make your posts nice and as much as you can. 3.2) If a Canon character won't post for over a month, you will obtain a reminder e-mail from us, and if you won't respond to it within 10 days, you will be moved to Quarantine group, renamed and the Canon will be offered to someone else. 3.3.1) Character that posts that s/he can no longer role-play on our forum will be moved to our special Silver membership group, in case you would like to return one day. 4) In general, summer vacations (July and August) are time of year, when we will make basic clean ups, moving un-needed posts into archives. We will be in this time preparing for next year of school and outside school life, so be sure, if you wish to return in September to let us know, you will be around. Just a little note as post on the website in Swing out forum or e-mail us. It will take only two minutes of your life. 5) Once you join, you cannot cancel the membership by yourself. Forumer doesn’t have this option. If you no longer wish to be member of our forum, let us know. You can PM, e-mail, post… that you no longer wish to be member, and we will delete your account. Mind, that you will loose all the information (PM’s from members, signature and avatars, contact on other members and few general features), so make sure you have saved what you want to keep.
